Stay at Prince Smart Inn Kyoto Shijo Omiya in May 2021

This time, I will tell you about the situation when I stayed at Prince Smart Inn Kyoto Shijo Omiya in May 2021.

This hotel is a Japanese Prince Hotel Group.

There are two other hotel brands called Prince Smart Inn. One is in Ebisu, Tokyo. The other is in Atami, Shizuoka Prefecture. The hotel in Kyoto is the third hotel. I visited on the opening day.

About access

※Hankyu Kyoto Line “Omiya” Station and Keifuku Arashiyama Line “Shijo Omiya” Station are in the immediate vicinity.

How to get Prince Smart Inn Kyoto Shijo Omiya by bus from Kyoto Station

If you are going to the hotel from Kyoto Station, we recommend a bus. Take the Kyoto City Bus No. 28, 50, and 9 to “Shijo-horikawa”. There are multiple bus stops “Shijo-horikawa”.
There is a bus stop on the north side of the Shijo-horikawa intersection where buses No.50 and No.9 stop.
There is a bus stop on the south side of the Shijo-horikawa intersection where bus number 28 stop.

It is about a 2-minute walk from the bus stop to the hotel.

When using the train

If you want to travel cheaply from Osaka by train, use the Hankyu Kyoto Line. The nearest station is “Omiya Station”.

※There are multiple Omiya stations in Japan.

The station is located below the intersection. Exit from the east ticket gate and go up to the ground. The closest exit to the hotel is the “2A” exit. If you use Exit 1 or 3, cross the traffic light at the intersection.

Proceed east on Shijo-dori.

You will reach the hotel in a few minutes on foot.

Check-in time is 15:00.

Check-in is done by machine. There is no amenity set in the guest room. There is an amenity corner next to the elevator.

Water, room wear, amenity set, and cup. There are two types of amenity sets, one for men and one for women. For men, a shave is included. For women, it contains cotton.

There are standard singles and standard twins. And there are standard doubles A and B.

There is a washbasin as soon as you enter the room. The washbasin, toilet and shower are all separate.

About hotel facilities

There is a vending machine, ice, washer / dryer, and microwave oven on the second floor. There is a restaurant and cafe on the first floor.

There are several convenience stores (Seven-Eleven FamilyMart) around the hotel.

There is also a delicious beef restaurant called Morita-ya(Japanese：モリタ屋). There are sukiyaki and shabu-shabu. It costs 4000-8000 yen at lunch time. Dinner time is 4000-12000 yen.

About breakfast

Free breakfast is a wrap sandwich. It’s a simple one, but as a cafe, it was delicious to stick to vegetables.
